When it comes to cooking and baking with spices, your possibilities are almost endless. Spices go a long way in making a tasty dish even tastier. Consider the following spices essential to your kitchen.

Garlic powder. If you love garlic and prefer not to use the fresh variety, garlic powder is the next best thing. To save money it can be purchased in bulk quantity, should you find that you are using it frequently.

Garlic powder can be used in casseroles, sprinkled on meats before or after cooking or used to make homemade garlic bread. (Don’t confuse garlic powder with garlic salt, which is a combination of garlic AND salt.)
